Requirements
a) Write News Articles, Journalistic analysis and Special features
b) Specialisation in any one of the following news beats will be an advantage - Business and Finance, Technology and Gadgets, Automotive (Cars and bikes), Crime etc
c) Should know how to package online news with Videos, images, graphics etc
d) You will also contribute to both Content Creation and Management and efficiently manage Social Networks as well. You will also actively participate in other non-News verticals and other areas as required from time to time.
e) Role also involves active management of Social Media – including uploading of videos to You Tube and handling Marketing Features
Educational Qualifications:
i. A degree in Journalism /Arts / Humanities from a reputed institute
ii. Knowledge of HTML, and Image and Video editing will be an asset
Essential:
i. Sound knowledge of Kerala and national news and current affairs
ii. Proven track record of hands-on experience in independently handling varied news stories and features
iii. Must have strong journalistic and creative writing skills in both Malayalam and English and ensure error-free text
iv. Be a team player
v. Self-starter with innovative content creation and packaging ideas to drive traffic growth, in keeping with ground realities
vi. Work in close coordination with News/ Marketing/ Sales teams
vii. Good knowledge of Malayalam and English languages (read, write speak)
viii. Qualities of hardwork, perseverance and patience will be appreciated
Experience (Candidates with less experience will be recruited as Trainees)
i. Must have worked in a similar capacity with a web agency or news media company
ii. Sound knowledge of internet and mobile technologies and latest trends
iii. Understanding of Web Traffic Analysis
iv. Sound knowledge of social networking (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc)
► Frontend Designers
Job Description:
i. Responsible for the front end design and development, usability and testing of new and existing websites, ensuring that requirements and deadlines are met.
ii. To build and develop high quality websites and ensure that they are browser compatible and meet high web standards
iii. Knowledge and experience coding HTML5/CSS3 Responsive websites.
iv. Knowledge of current coding techniques and best practices.
v. Should be Innovative, user focused, analytical and a team worker.
vi. Understanding of UI/UX design principles with an emphasis on maximizing usability.
vii. Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, jQuery mobile, CSS frameworks
Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in any related field.
Experience
i. Minimum of 2 years of experience designing and developing UI’s for websites
